Encore Financial Group Joins Savage and Associates
Founder Dennis Hesselink to Continue Serving Clients as an Independent Advisor Under the Encore Brand
Encore Financial Group, founded and led by Dennis Hesselink for more than two decades, today announced it has been acquired by Savage and Associates (Savage). The acquisition builds on a successful three-year relationship between the two firms, during which Savage supported Encore Financial Group’s compliance and back-office operations, including technology support.
Under the new agreement, Hesselink will continue to work as an independent advisor for the northern Michigan-based firm he built, and the structure at Encore Financial Group will remain unchanged. Clients across Michigan, and beyond, will continue to work with the same financial professionals and team members they know today.

The acquisition reflects Savage’s continued investment in financial professionals and firms it has long supported, providing additional resources for growth while preserving the independence and client relationships that have defined Encore Financial Group’s success.

The transaction does not affect Encore Financial Group’s day-to-day operations, staffing, or client service model. With more than 25 financial professionals, assistants, and staff, the firm will continue to operate under the Encore Financial Group name, with Hesselink remaining actively involved in client relationships.
